About us

Pangeea – ‘The Entire Earth’ – is the name of the place where you would feel like flying in time. Four years ago, we opened the gates to a place called Flying Time and invited you to share cultural experiences and the taste of the medieval Transylvania. We had fun together, enjoyed music and listened to the stories all over the world. We have decided to put together all these memories in one place Pangeea – ‘The Entire Earth’ where the story of the crossing cultures keeps going. Today you can find us a few metres further, in the same friendly and hospitable atmosphere, in the heart of the historical centre of Sibiu, exactly at the entrance to The Big Square. It takes you no more than a 2-5 minute walk to get to some of the most important sightseeing of the city: the Bruckenthal Museum, with its impressive art gallery, the Lutheran Cathedral, The History Museum with its Gothic architecture and The Ethnography Museum, ‘a shelter for keeping the past’ and the old traditions of the Transylvanians, The Bridge of Lies, where even Pinocchio is caught, The Council Tower and The City Hall. You can enjoy your morning coffee in a baroque atmosphere inside our café, ‘Geea’. Besides, if you feel like cooking, there is a supermarket exactly opposite the hostel.
